How We Approach Treatment

Your first appointment at Spirit Behavioral starts with a comprehensive clinical assessment, because we cannot build a useful plan for you or your loved one until we understand the full picture. That means the substances involved, the mental health symptoms in the background, the medical history, and what daily life actually looks like at home.

From there we write an individualized plan. No two people arrive with the same problem, so no two treatment plans should read the same. Licensed clinicians deliver evidence-based therapies matched to what the assessment shows.

Families are part of this. When you understand what your loved one is working through, you can support recovery instead of guessing at it, and we make room for that.

Treatment also has an ending you plan for. Before discharge, we build an aftercare plan so the progress made here holds up once you are back to regular life.

Levels of Care

Most people who come to Spirit Behavioral start with medical detox, then move into residential rehab once the body is stable. From there the care steps down: PHP, then IOP or virtual IOP, then standard outpatient as your loved one gets steadier. Medication-assisted treatment runs alongside any level when it fits the case, and sober living gives you a structured place to practice recovery. One clinical team follows you the whole way, so nothing gets lost in the handoff.
